Evaluation Criteria
Every product on Vasset.ng is independently reviewed and scored across four dimensions so buyers can make informed decisions with confidence.

Dimension Breakdown
Tech Quality
25%We assess the technical soundness of the product — how well it is built, how stable it runs, and how scalable the architecture is for future growth.
- Codebase quality, structure, and documentation
- Stability — minimal bugs, crashes, or critical issues
- Tech stack relevance and scalability potential
- Security practices (auth, data handling, access controls)
- Presence of a live demo or working prototype
Market Fit
25%A great product solves a real problem for a real audience. This dimension evaluates whether the product addresses a clear market need and how well-positioned it is to compete.
- Clarity and size of the target market
- Strength of the problem being solved
- Differentiation from existing alternatives
- Pricing strategy and monetisation model
- Potential for long-term demand in Nigeria and beyond
Traction
25%Traction is evidence that the market already cares. We look at what has been validated — users, revenue, engagement, or community — to measure real-world momentum.
- Current user base or customer count
- Monthly active usage or engagement metrics
- Revenue generated (monthly recurring or one-time)
- Growth rate over the last 3–6 months
- Verified achievements and milestone completion
Team Strength
25%Execution matters as much as the idea. This dimension considers the capability and commitment of the people behind the product — the most critical factor for long-term success.
- Owner's relevant domain experience and skills
- Track record in building or selling digital products
- Completeness of the team (solo vs. multi-member)
- Quality of documentation and product support
- Responsiveness and communication on Vasset.ng

Frequently Asked Questions
Who conducts the evaluation?
Every product submitted to Vasset.ng is reviewed by our internal team before it goes live. Scores are assigned by a Vasset reviewer based on the criteria above.
Can scores change over time?
Yes. If a product owner updates their listing with new traction data, a live demo, or additional team information, they can request a re-evaluation. Scores may go up or down.
Is the overall score an average of the four dimensions?
Yes. The overall score is the simple average of Tech Quality, Market Fit, Traction, and Team Strength — each weighted equally at 25%.
Does a low score mean a product is bad?
Not necessarily. An early-stage idea or MVP will naturally score lower on Traction and Team. Scores reflect the current state — not the future potential. Use them alongside your own judgement.
How do verified achievements affect the evaluation?
Achievements are separate from the four scoring dimensions. They are specific milestones (e.g. 'crossed 1,000 users', 'first paying customer') verified by our team and displayed publicly. They also boost the 4-year revenue projection.
